At the Centeno-Schultz Clinic, we are committed to advancing the highest level of PRP and stem cell treatments for common orthopedic conditions. Teaching is a critical component as evidenced by our fellowship training program and our instruction at the multiple Interventional Orthopedics Foundation (IOF) cadaver courses throughout the year.
On Saturday, I had the honor of meeting with and discussing multiple clinical cases with Dr. Sam Chia Chuan Yang. Dr. Yang is a board-certified orthopedic and spine surgeon who graduated from the National Yang-Ming University in Taipei, Taiwan. For over 20 years, he worked in a Taichung City hospital, performing both hip and knee total joint replacements and spinal surgeries. Acknowledging the clinical benefits of PRP and stem cell therapy, Dr. Yang opened his own interventional orthopedic clinic in 2016. He sees patients from Taiwan, China, and the Philippines.
In 2017, Dr. Yang joined the Regenexx Network and has flown 15-plus hours one way to attend multiple IOF courses as well as shadow us in the Centeno-Schultz Clinic. On Saturday, we were able to review multiple cases and indications for both bone marrow-derived stem cells and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
Pictured below is Sam and his sister Evelyn, a registered nurse who is his full-time assistant.
Dr. Yang will be attending the upcoming IOF supercourse and annual conference. We look forward to seeing you in December, Sam!
