I had a series of accidents from 1962 to 2009 from sports accidents, which damaged my shoulder, knee and back. The accumulation of so many injuries resulted first in a hip replacement and eventually in lumbar fusion.

Although I recovered from the fusion and resumed hiking, I lived with a constant level of significant nerve pain. As I aged inflammation and degeneration increased all over my body – and so did the pain!

When I arrived at the Centeno-Schultz Clinic, I had recently been told by 2 orthopedic surgeons and a pain management physician that I needed both a knee and shoulder replacement.

I previously had PRP injections in my knee and shoulder in 2 different facilities and got a lot of benefit, although in one clinic I had intense inflammation, which limited my activity for a month following PRP. I learned at the Centeno-Schultz clinic that red blood cells are intensely inflammatory, and not surprisingly the intensely inflammatory PRP I received was a deep purple color while I later discovered the PRP solution at the Centeno-Schultz Clinic varies from an ivory tone to nearly clear.

I immediately respected Dr. Schultz's knowledge and experience, and also appreciated his ability to see how my various aches and pains were connected. He took a holistic approach to my body and also did an extremely thorough examination when we met in person.

Dr. Schultz also runs on time, which is rare in a physician who is so intensely scheduled. He’s time efficient and purposeful, and he’s surrounded by an exceptional team, including Vince, his assistant, and Jennifer, the patient liaison assigned to me, who coordinates with Dr. Schultz if I have a question. I am also asked to email any medical questions I have directly to Dr. Schultz, and he responds within a day.

Strong processes are in place which streamlines patient care, and everyone on the team communicates remarkably well with each other and with patients. Each person I’ve encountered is exceptionally competent, surprisingly warm and demonstrates an attitude of true caring! Without a doubt this is the best functioning medical clinic where I have received treatments of any kind.

After two visits to the Centeno-Schultz Clinic in Broomfield, CO, I now have less pain than I’ve had in 8 years. Less pain means I'm also happier and more easily find joy each moment!
